Answer: Nahla loves to lick dirt out of cracks when we’re not looking, so her fur can get really dirty and stained. Normally, wipes can remedy this problem. But if her fur is really stained around her mouth and the wipes are not cleaning her face; we wash just her face with shampoo and warm water. We also try to minimize giving her a full bath. Her full bath schedule is every 3 to 4 weeks.
We never let the dirt stay on her fur for long periods of time, i.e., overnight. We get best results when washing her face as soon as we get her back inside.
Right now she is a puppy and haven’t developed much of a stain problem. If what we are doing now stops working, then we will look into other ideas and methods.
